Finley Launches Governance Workshop Specifically for StartUps

Following on the successful launch of its online Governance Workshops this past Spring, Finley is thrilled to officially launch its Governance X StartUps Workshop. Specifically designed for founders, investors, startup employees, and anyone interested in the space, this interactive Workshop is co-lead by Rebecca Finley-Schidlowsky (Calgary, Canada) and Jeff Homer (Denver, USA).

Objectives of the Workshop:

  1. Introduce key Governance principles and terminology.
  2. Present a roadmap that entrepreneurs can use to begin to develop their governance framework.
  3. Understand the non-financial elements of an investor term-sheet and how they will affect your life.
  4. Learn from others through live case studies.

Questions that will be answered:

  • What does it mean to have a Board?
  • What role do Investors play on that Board?
  • What governance structures have other startups developed and why?
  • What kind of documentation should founders have in place?
  • How do I protect myself as a founder? An investor?
